arrow-dark Rating Media
Lately, I've been thinking a lot about how I rate media. I've been rating the albums I listen to and the books I read all year, but it all feels so arbitrary. I don't actually have a criteria for why I'm rating things the way I do. It's basically just based off vibes and how I feel in the moment. I don't like that. I want it to be more objective, qualitative, and reflective of what how much I actually enjoyed it. However, it's extremely intimidating to figure out a rating system. Where does one even start?

That's another thing... are people rating media based on how much they enjoyed it? Or, are they rating it on it's quality from a more objective lens? I don't know. I don't think that I'm anywhere near qualified to judge media by it's quality. However, maybe that's just a lack of critical thinking skils on my part, as much as I hate to admit it.

Hopefully, I can figure out a rating system that works for me and reflects how much I enjoyed the piece of media. If anyone has any ideas or resources for this, please let me know! Cheers.
