Writing this on Sunday evening, I don't even have a good recollection of all that has happened. All I know for sure is that I am so burnt out, right now, that I can hardly move or think. I'm clinging onto hyperfocusing on this website like it's my last hope in getting any energy or joy back in time for the upcoming week.
After extensive conversation with my OT and decision-making, I spent the earlier days of the week analysing every aspect of my day in order to track my thoughts, feelings, and behaviours and re-route them to healthier and more productive ones. Perhaps I will expand on this later down the line, but for now I will say that, while this is extremely emotionally and mentally exhausting, it is so incredibly helpful to finally see patterns and slowly start forming new neural pathways.
I listened to a lot of "Take It Easy" by Jackson Browne, this week. I discovered it on September 16th, and it's already my most listened to song of 2025, at the moment. I've heard the version by The Eagles before, but I'm not a big fan of them. When I learned that he originally wrote this song with Glenn Frey, I gave his version a listen and immediately fell in love with it. I listened to this song lots earlier in the week, and it genuinely helped me get through lots. Also, it's a super nice song for driving with the windows open, as summer is coming to an end (as cheesy as it is).
I discovered this new song by Fontaines D.C. called "Before You I Just Forget". While "Take It Easy" had me during the high points of my week, this song had me during the low points. It's also jumped to being one of my top-listened to songs of the year. Fontaines D.C. usually surprises me with their music.
I also listened to a few new bands, this week: Digitalism, Dead Dads Club, Pacifica, etc..
